Last day

After 6 days away, we have to go home. Port Victoria is a beautiful place to spend a few days. We had a day of touring the coastal areas, and also spent too long at the Gregory Winery, sampling the products and getting first hand information from the grower Rod and the wine maker John.
We also found a great place for getting fish. Just off the main street, called Gill Fisheries. They had everything. Last dinner away was 6 oysters each, followed by prawns with a bottle of chardonnay. Kathy is already planning the next trip!

Port Victoria

The Innes National Park is an amazing place. The coastline views are spectacular, the access to them is easy and they are within 300km of home. A full day spent in the park went by so quickly we only just got back to the van in time for dinner at the Marion Bay Tavern.
The Internet access is erratic. It only works when a south-easterly is blowing, there is cloud cover and a pelican is sitting on top of the street light. Wednesday was the only day theses factors combined !.
Friday was spent looking at the coast between Marion Bay and Edithburgh, via the Wattle Point wind farm.
Today we moved to Port Victoria for a couple of nights before heading home. The Internet works here for me, but not for Kathy. Next G is at its limit on the Yorke peninsula

Marion Bay

We had a pleasant drive from Ardrossan to Marion Bay, calling in at the various towns on the way. The pic shows Port Julia from the lookout. After setting up the van, we went to Stenhouse Bay then came back to Marion Bay. The caravan park manager said the local jetty was famous for squid so we decided to try our hand at squid jagging. We had sausages for tea.
We are going to Innes National Park for today.

Ardrossan

We started out late, not saying when, but I watched up to the third quarter of the Titans v Broncos gridiron game on Monday night football. If your good at converting American time into CST you will know when we left.
We got as far as Ardrossan at about 5:15, set up for the night and got fish and chips take away, with a bottle of white shiraz. Tomorrow we will try for Marion Bay, but no guarantees.
Part of the delay was because we had to vote at Marion before we left, and then a friend came round to show us their new car, so it was not entirly our fault we were late leaving.
